A: The cost of funerals usually increases each year, but once you have purchased a prepayment plan with us, as long as we carry out your funeral and your requirements don't change, our services, as itemised in the plan, will be provided for you when needed, without any further charge to you or your family. This is one of the most important benefits and why pre-payment plans have become so popular with our clients in recent years. You can also make a contribution towards third party costs which are outside of our control and cannot be guaranteed
A: When you purchase a funeral plan from C J Williams, Ecclesiastical Planning Services arranges for your pre-payment to be held in guaranteed whole of life assurance policies with a life assurance company that is authorised by the Prudential Regulation Authority (PRA) and regulated by the PRA and Financial Conduct Authority (FCA). Funeral plans themselves are not regulated by the PRA or FCA but Ecclesiastical Planning Services is registered with the Funeral Planning Authority. Every penny of your pre-payment is ring-fenced to be used only when the funeral is needed.
A: You can pay by monthly instalments over 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5 years. If the death occurs before you have completed your installments, the payments you have made will be used as a contribution towards funeral expenses.
If you wish to stop payments, all monies received can be left in the plan as a contribution towards your funeral at the time of need. Alternatively you may recieve a refund of the money you have paid minus the management fee. Additional Instalment Payment Terms and conditions apply - Please ask for details.
A: We recommend that you take out travel insurance when you go on holiday, especially if you travel abroad, which usually covers bringing you home if necessary. Alternatively we can quote for the extra cost involved.
A: If you move, you should be able to transfer your plan to a Funeral Director in that area and Ecclesiastical Planning Services can help with this. Funeral costs do vary from one area to another and you will be advised of any difference in cost at that stage.
A: You can cancel your plan at any time. If you choose to cancel the plan up to 30 days from the date of purchase you'll receive a full refund. If you cancel the plan after 30 days, you'll receive a refund of the original amount paid, excluding the management fee.
Terms and conditions apply to funeral plans - please ask for details.
